Looking for things to do over the summer? We are looking run the following courses over the long summer holidays. If you could please register your interest at the bottom as it gives us a great indication of numbers and we can send the registration link once its released.
This is the bread and butter of our Juniour Code Club and Game Dev Code Club courses. We are looing to run half day and full day courses which go through all of the steps to creating your very own games! We are aiming to create a nmber of sessions which include:
- Game in a day Platformer
- Game in a day Dungeon Crawler
- Game in a day 3D world – including blender
- Game in a day Cosy Game
- Game in a day Clicker Game with Upgrades

We teach both MakeCode Arcade which is a block based programming tool and also Godot which is an industry recognised fully fledged game engine!
We aim to teach concepts and ways of thinking – not just what buttons to press – as we want to give students the tools to go and start creating their own games.
At the end of the course students will have learned the basics of the engine and how to put the pieces together into a full end to end game. They will be able to take their work away with them after the course – all make available and hosted on our servers – and show off their achievements.
We very much welcome any student who whats to learn some new skills and get creating.

3d printing and moddeling is a topic close to our heart and we have run a number of 3d printing design workshops in the past which have always been great fun. Depending on the age and skill level of participants we look at the fantastic Tinkercad which is a great way of getting prototyping and modles made in a simple click and drag system, or Blender which is a more advanced program with a full suite of tools. For the shorter sessions, we let students design their creations and then prints can be picked up the following week.

In our weekly classes, we have had a blast creating pixel art and animations for the games we have made. While it is a massive topic, once you master the basics, the sky is the limit—you can create all kinds of awesome game assets!
In this workshop, we will be covering Piskel, a free and open-source software. This is a powerful tool for designing and creating pixel art and animations, allowing you to export your creations in a number of formats to perfectly suit your game projects.
Be the first to know!
We are looking to host these workshops in the coming months. If it’s something that you may like to attend, please do let us know! Sharing your interest will help us gauge numbers and plan the perfect sessions.
