What do we do?
Ctrl + Alt + Code is a place for passionate young coders (and those who want to be!) to come together and learn to collaborate, develop, and design.
Though coding is taught via different languages the focus is on teaching the skills needed to learn any language and methods and practices used in industry today. Come along to a class and you will hear phrases like Agile Methodology, Scrum Leader, and DevOps. Stick around and you might learn what they mean!
Run by an industry professional with ten years of development for data science experience our clubs are placed to show kids (and parents) that code is more than a computer screen.
Offerings
Our club lineup is yet to be fixed but there will certainly be a beginner club based in scratch that will be an entry point for kids aged 7 and above before introducing clubs for different skill levels and specific interests. Even within a single club the priority is always following the interests of the pupils and if that means ripping up the plan then that’s what happens!
Neurodiversity
A topic close to my heart as I was diagnosed with ADHD in early 2023 and spent my whole school being great at some things and abysmal at others! I’m never shy talking about it and embrace all different learning styles, diagnosed or not! Difference is a journey and I want to create a space of safety and acceptance, spread awareness, and hopefully help someone discover their superpowers!
Who am I?

My name is Livia and I’m a mum of two, coder, crafter and professional question asker. I’m passionate about coding and will fight anyone who says it’s not creative or ‘just for nerds’.
I was inspired by the passion I saw in my young coders and their devastation when the club was cancelled. I decided that I needed to be able to take control and offer them a club they would know was always there for them. The year sixes at the club were already trying to persuade me to approach their secondary schools about starting a club so they wouldn’t have to stop. It was a total no-brainer and Ctrl + alt + Code was born.
