Coming Soon!

The following courses are planned and ready to go once we have the demand. Book on to our introductory code club and we can put on more clubs as we grow!

Intro to Python

Python is one of the most widely used programming languages in the world and many more specialised languages base themselves on it’s easy, widely recognised structure!

The course begins with the basics of setting up the language for development and useful development tools and packages. Then builds up through function building, data visualisation, text based applications, API’s… Everything a budding developer needs!

Game Design

Using Godot (an open source game development engine) to create a series of small sample games giving students an intro to the aspects and considerations of designing games.

Python for Science and Mathematics

The title might be dry but coding underpins the science of simulation, analysis, and AI! This course is perfect for students hoping to build their skills and go on to study science, engineering, maths, build applications and tools for analysis, physics engines for games, and more!

Minecraft Modding

Minecraft has become a household name since it’s debut in 2009 and has only grown since I played on a shared server hosted on my desktop with housemates at university. Most remarkable has been the growth of the modding community where enthusiastic players can build their own add ons. Mods can be as simple as new creatures, items, biomes, items, and structures to mind blowing creations that are almost games in their own right! In this course we show students where to find mods, how to get started making their own, how to make simple data packs, and build up to creating their own fully fledged mods!

Internet Safety (Kids/Parents)

I haven’t met a lot of parents who are truly confident with all their kids want to get up to on the seemingly unlimited internet. Most parents I know feel caught between extremes and not really knowing how to make good decisions about apps, privacy setting, and monitoring to keep their families safe. As an IT professional who has worked in security settings and a parent with kids telling me all about the stuff their friends do when I say no I’d like to share some of my knowledge to help families get the most out of all the wide wonderful internet has to offer and how to do it safely.
